The Nexus range of award winning filters has just been improved further with the fabulous Nexus 220 filtration system! This impressive new filter guarantees even clearer water than before through a clever combination of mechanical and biological filtration in one low maintenance, easy to clean system.
The Nexus 320 from Evolution Aqua has a simple yet innovative operating system. Water first enters the Nexus via the inlet before passing into the inner chamber where a basic vortex causes larger solids to settle out. The water then moves through the Eazy where the finer particles are removed via mechanical filtration. Water then passes to the inner chamber where biological filtration takes place using the K1 Media in the moving bed. Water then moves on to the exit chamber and then back into the pond.
The all new Nexus 220 benefits from a re-designed filter. This features K1 Micro filter media in a static bed for mechanical filtration. K1 Media in a moving bed provides excellent biological filtration. So how does that work? Well, bacteria live on the surface of the K1 media and then convert ammonia and nitrite into benign nitrate. The new Nexus 220 also includes a larger, easy to clean area for solid waste to be caught and to settle. So the result for pond keepers is the clearest possible water and a healthy environment.
The latest Eazy features an updated pattern of slots in the body which offer improved efficiency through better flow rates. The Eazy filter can be removed if required for maintenance. The Nexus system is designed to be user friendly, low maintenance and easy to clean.
