Marginal Plants
As the name suggests these plants grow along the pond side in aquatic planting baskets.
These plants provide splashes of colour throughout the growing season; certain plants will raft across the water offering shade for the fish, reducing sunlight levels and thus the growth of algae.
Many of the grasses are especially useful for removing excess nutrients from the water whilst giving colour throughout the season.
